Valentine’s Flowers – How to Select the Best Flowers for Her

July 21, 2009 by Romantic · Leave a Comment

Flowers are basically synonymous with Valentine’s Day. They are beautiful, they are elegant, they are fresh, and they deliver a variety of different messages. When choosing a Valentine’s gift for her this year, you will undoubtedly consider flowers, which you should. Flowers are very standard for giving on Valentine’s Day, but you need to know a few things before you rush out and buy the biggest (or smallest) bouquet out there!

Selecting the best flowers for her involves thinking on several different levels. First, what kind of flower? Roses are an obvious first, but if you really think that a rose is not for her, carnations or even lilies will suffice. Also, color should be taken into consideration. If you are romantically interested in this girl at all, do not buy yellow flowers! These symbolize friendship and chances are you don't want to be considered "just friends".

You need to give her red flowers, because these symbolize love and romance. Some exceptions might be if there is a color that means a great deal to her. In some situations, the normal color meanings can be tossed out the window if a more important meaning exists on a personal level, but make sure that there is one and that you are not just imagining it before you spend money on anything but a red rose! Sometimes guys think they know what a girl would like, only to realize that they had actually dreamed up this want, and bought the wrong color rose! Then she takes the symbolism wrong without him knowing, and everything gets complicated.

It's best, safest and most appropriate to buy red roses on this special Valentine's day.
