So, have you found yourself stumped this year, wondering just what you were going to get your girl for Valentine’s Day? You want it to be perfect, but you also don’t want to go overboard. Most girls will tell you to buy a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day, but you of course knew that already… what you need to know is how to pick the best box of chocolates for her!
Well, start by reviewing your options. There are a lot of different Valentine’s Day gift boxes of chocolate out there, and it won’t do to hurry the selection process! You need to make sure to set yourself some time aside so that you can have enough time to make your decision. And whatever you do, do not wait until the last minute! Have the chocolates bought at least a week in advance. This will ensure that you get the absolute best selection, they are delivered on time and you aren't pay extra for shipping!
Once you begin shopping, you should use your gut instinct. What does she like? If she is a pretty down to earth girl, she might not appreciate a lot of flamboyancy. But, you also don’t want it to be dull. Try to choose a box of chocolates that is either red, or one that is at least is decorated with a Valentine’s Day theme. After all, it is Valentine’s Day. A little ribbon is nice, or a bow. Don’t just go for a plain old box, she could get those any day. And also, a nice single red rose should accompany the box, if not more. Don’t get yellow! Yellow is the rose of friendship, but you want to underline the romance today. A good, well decorated box of chocolates and a single red rose are gifts that you cannot go wrong with.

What To Write Or Say On A Personalized Valentine’s Gift
January 25, 2009 by Romantic · Leave a Comment
On Valentine's day millions of people worldwide will be giving their special someone a personalized valentine's gift. These personalized valentine's gifts can range from a tea cup to a personalized calendar (the latter being a much better Valentine's day present). If you need a more thorough guide on selecting a customized gift then read our post on customized gifts here.
If you are going to order a gift we recommend Getting Personal. It is the most popular personalized gifts in the UK. However selecting a personalized gift is only the first part of your Valentine's Day present. The second part question is:
What do you put on the personalized gift?
This question is not easily answered as it's dependant on a few factors. However, here is a little guide to hopefully help you pick the proper thing to write.
What stage your relationship is in will depend on the wording for your gift.
New relationship: If you are in a fairly new relationship then putting "I love you" or something of that nature is probably not the best option. You should consider using something like "Be my Valentine" or "Will You Be Mine?"
Long loving relationship: If you've been in a relationship for a while then using a term like "Be my valentine" might give off the wrong impression. Instead opt for "I Love You, will you be my valentine" or something a bit more personal.
What gift you select or make will depend on what you write.
Practical and Useful: If you've selected something practical and useful to personalize (like a coffee mug or mouse pad) then you don't want to make the writing quite as personal. Something like "be my valentine' or 'I love you' will be sufficient in this case.
Something more personal (like a calendar): You can customize this and write whatever you would like on this. Possibly a poem if you're linguistically inclined.
Whichever gift you select to personalize be sure to put lots of thought into what to write on the gift. That's what personalized gifts are so special. You must select the proper gift AND the proper thing to say.
